Sadness and Rain

We lost Cindy and Sammy yesterday, and a major thunderstorm delayed their burial until this morning. They were sweet creatures, and we will miss them.

We are The Bear Family! Mo (mom), David (dad), Thomas (aka Brother Bear, 20), William (aka ThunderBear, 18), and Michael (aka BooBoo/Squishy Bear, 15).

What's this blog about? It started out as a way of recording and remembering our adventures as a home-learning family, a way to keep family and friends informed about what we're up to and to keep them from complaining they don't have current pictures of the kids (joking...kind of).

It's also a way of connecting with other families who are living with Type 1 Diabetes, sharing our own challenges and the assurance that yes, we can have "normal" lives...mostly ;)

Finally, it's a way to document my own progress toward building a full-blow editing business, and sharing the wonderful people I get to work with and their unique projects.
