The Pod Has Arrived

You'd have thought it was Christmas around here, as excited as everyone was to get this package.

Ain't no guessin'...we know exactly what's in this plain brown box!

Everything unpacked.
.
We received the PDM and a skin for it; 50 Pods (a 4-month supply); a Freestyle glucose monitor and test strips, and a carrying case for the whole shebang. Once the PDM is set up by our Ped Endo T-Bear will be testing right on the PDM. In the meantime, he decided he'll use the new monitor, and gave his trusty old monitor to Rufus.

Here, Mom, read this 10 lb User Guide.
.
I probably will not read the entire User Guide all the way though, but skim it before training next week.

The PDM...the brains of the operation.

A Pod...the insulin reservior and pump.

One of the Pods apparently malfunctioned, as it was emitting a high-pitched squeeling noise. Or maybe it was just excited to be in its new home.

Starter Kit and User Guides.

The Starter Kit holds everything we will need for training.

All ready for training next Tuesday.
.
Can't wait til Tuesday!
